SLEEPOVER!!
For the last five weeks, my dear friend Pamela has been babysitting Anna one night a week while I participated in a volunteer training program. Typically Anna heads over to Pamela and her son Harper's house around 5pm and joins them for a yummy dinner and then Mike picks up Anna between 6 or 6:30pm and walks her home. It's been a great arrangement and we are so lucky to be able to do a babysitting tradeoff like this with such amazing folks (we'll be keeping Harper in December) who Anna truly loves being with.
Last night we had a bit of a schedule change, which resulted in Anna's first "sleepover" at a friend's house. Mike had to be out at a client event, which meant he couldn't pick her up. And since my training lasts til 9 pm, I was either going to have to skip the last night or figure out another arrangement. My two babysitters were unavailable and when I told Pamela the situation, she offered to just put Anna down at her place and hten I could pick her up when I was finished.
Thankfully, it worked beautifully and the kids had a fantastic time - playing, reading books, repeating the word chihuahua over and over again, a generally fantastic evening.
Pamela sent me pics from her camera phone and I couldn't resist sharing. Big hugs to Pamela, Dave and Harper for being such sweet hosts to Anna. She had a BLAST!

How cute!! I always hear about Anna's friend Harper and now I can put an adorable face to the name. Yea for Anna's first sleepover!! Can't wait to see you guys very soon:)
Now I want a sippy cup and a pillow...they look so damn COZY!
