Mother's Day Recap
What a great way to wake up, hearing Anna's little sing-songy voice say, "Happy Mother's Day!" Last year she had so few words... it's amazing what twelve months will do.
A very big thank you to my wonderful husband and daughter for making the weekend a lot of fun. Mike surprised me with a dozen mini flower cupcakes on Friday afternoon, which was exactly the kind of flowers I wanted this year (I managed to devour them all by Sunday). Yummy, yum, yum. I tried getting a picture of them, but the camera wasn't really cooperating so you'll just have to envision their cuteness.
On Sunday morning we got up and once again had our annual mother's day breakfast at Ann Sather's. It's a great little breakfast diner where every meal comes with a side of cinnamon rolls. A perfect way to start your day. Then it was on to church and home for lunch and naps. We hung out at the playground with Anna and enjoyed the lovely weather that afternoon. Yes, it was similar to most of our afternoons, but I'm just feeling a bit too pregnant to do anything truly adventurous these days and a relaxing afternoon at the park was perfect.
Top it off with a barbeque dinner at our favorite BBQ joint and you've got one stuffed family.
Hope you had a great Mother's Day also!
