I'm a Big Sister! (by Mike)
Yesterday, Anna got to meet her little brother. Her first question? "What is he doing Mama?"
The answer: eating. This kid loves to eat. Anna was a peckish eater, and the colostrum was more than enough to satisfy her until Maggie's milk came in. Not so for Abe-he is keeping Maggie wide awake by constantly feeding (she's had about 4 hours sleep since Friday night), and the nurses this morning gave Maggie a tube system to help supplement with formula while Abe breast feeds. The last feeding, hee took in almost 2 ounces of formula before finally falling asleep. Something tells me that keeping up with his appetite is going to be a real challenge.

tee hee - I am immature so I had to laugh b/c the title looks like Mike is saying "I'm a big sister." ; )
I had to do that SNS tube system, too. I hope it goes well for you and that they only keep you on it for a few days, because I thought it was an awful pain in the you know what! What a contraption.
Don't worry - your milk's gonna come in, and he'll be chowing down to his heart's content, no problem, no more tubes.
Great pics! I love that one with Anna -- she looks SO excited! Hope all is going well today!
Okay, is it just me or does he look EXACTLY like Mike? I'm really seeing a resemblance. And yes, Anna just beams in this photo. Such a sweet moment.
I love the look on Anna's face in that photo! Adorable!
