The last two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind. Ann and Elisa paid us a wonderful visit at the end of June. As expected, the girls fell in love with each other and became doubly silly. Anna is still talking about Elisa and I'm sure will be for weeks to come. Next, we headed down to St. Louis for July 4th weekend and to celebrate Abe's birthday. My mother-in-law threw a family barbeque and the kids ran around outside and inside and ate entirely too many cupcakes for their own good. It was awesome! Then my mother rode home with us from St. Louis and just left this morning after a week-long visit. It was wonderful having her here with us and we miss her already!
Did I mention we're pooped?
But we've had such fun -- despite the lack of blogging documentation. My words may be sparse, but I'll try to get some more photos posted. We are already gearing up for another trip to St. Louis this coming weekend for a college reunion (of sorts) with Mike's fraternity brothers.
