As expected, Anna's first day went off without a hitch. She woke up in a great mood, got herself dressed (sorta) and was ready to head off. Mike stayed home because he wanted to go with us and I know she loved that.
We walked her up to the door and she ran right in, no tears, no fears, no nothing. The kid was eager to get started. Amazingly, I didn't cry either. It just seemed pretty natural, she was excited and had no worries and that confidence made me feel relaxed. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I did start to get a bit emotional, but still no tears. If you know me, that's actually pretty unusual. I tend to get emotional pretty easily.
I wish I could give you a rundown of what occurred at preschool that day, but Anna refused to talk about it when she got in the car. "Good" was all I could pry out of her. I know she had a great time because she was smiling ear to ear, but Anna would not discuss the day with me.
Tonight Mike managed to get the following details out of her... She met a girl named Paige, she played with the train table, and Weather Bear was wearing a dinosaur t-shirt.
Nice.
So I'm hoping she is less moody on Thursday because I don't know if I can make it through the day without knowing what Weather Bear is wearing. Meanwhile, we're very lucky that everything went so well.
Our year is off to a great start.

Great! How exiting.
She looks so cute with her school bag. Love it!
That is awesome to hear! I have a feeling Anna is going to rock at this school stuff--just like her momma!
Congrats on surviving the first day of school!!! Anna reminds me so much of my Anna...could it be the name? They truly seem to have a lot in common!
