I told Anna she could not eat the ring pop that came home in a birthday bag from a kid at school.
So now she is expressing her frustration/longing through painting.
Yeah. She handed me a picture of ring pop. Everyone else her whole entire class gets to eat them. Every single kid. Maybe even in the whole world. Everyone. But her.

We can start the mean mamas club! I've already had to give Georgia the, "Guess what, I don't care what EVERYONE ELSE is doing" speech multiple times. And forewarned her that she'd be hearing it many times over in the next 20 years. : )
Apparently I am the only human on earth not packing desserts in lunchboxes.
Just curious...why couldn't she have the ring?
She had already been allowed the mini kit kat and a pack of gummy fruit things. So I thought I had been mooore than generous. But I never let them eat ring pops or that fun dip stuff because somehow I have this internal sticking point that distinguishes between dessert/treat and flat out high fructose corn syrup. And the mess, oh my the mess. I can't even look at those ring pops without cringing.
Hahahahaa...well, they certainly are messy! But tasty too! And not sure I've seen a Fun Dip in the past decade, but man, those remind me of movie theatres and summertime. Ahhhh...good stuff. Do all my favorite childhood memories involve HFCS? Probably.
No, Ann, when we were kids it was probably still real sugar!
Maggie - I totally get why you'd say no since she had already had plenty of candy. But your fear/hate of all things lollipop cracks me up. I recall a ranting blog post about dum dums from the bank way back when, am I right?
