Stuff that is good in my life today

Today (and yesterday) was a rough day. A million little things that led to giant temper flare ups (for everyone, especially me). Everything is just... off.

So I'm trying to consciously take stock of all the good things that I'm grateful for in life right now:

1) my kids are healthy
2) I am healthy
3) mike is healthy
4) we live in a safe and comfortable home
5) anna finally finished her birthday thank you notes
6) abe is wearing a cute blue striped shirt
7) the house is clean - for the moment
8) we have access to an awesome library and even if we can't travel anywhere right now, we can read about it
9) pandora (I know, welcome to 2007)
10) simplemom.net
11) my kids are big enough and strong enough to help with the garden watering
12) abe made his bed this morning
13) a reliable car and enough money to fill it with gas
14) English tea for breakfast this morning
15) Anna's new found obsession with reading books (independently)
16) leftover zucchini bread from last week
17) a comfortable bed with crisp white sheets that I look forward to getting into every night
18) House Beautiful magazine
19) Jesus Calling (it's a devotional book, he didn't actually ring me up today)
20) Sparkling water in a can
21) Duck Dynasty
22) This song:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URR_4i5gIFU
23) my giant red purse
24) nectarines
25) Anna can locate several countries on the world map on our dining room wall

What's your list?

your list even made ME feel better. way to go! I'm also making a concerted effort on positivity lately. I've got a long way to go. Wait! That was kind of a negative thing to say.

P.S. I also secretly enjoy Duck Dynasty. Glad to find another live human who has seen it.

I love your "stuff that is good in my life" list. Sorry you had a rough day :( You're allowed to have bad days, but I am happy that you have a great "good" list. Hugs

On my good stuff list: friends like you

P.S. I TOO enjoy Duck Dynasty! I couldn't tell you anyone's name but it tends to be my latest go to show to unwind and stop my brain before bed.

Yes, perfect for stopping one's brain before bed! What does that say about the show, though? Ha! It's like I love it, but I also love yelling at the TV about how fake a lot of the setup/dialogue/plot always seems to be.

Oh, so Maggie, I also came back here to say maybe you should sign up for these daily happiness quotes I get via email daily. You can sign up at Gretchen Rubin's Happiness Project blog/website. Many are just throw-aways, but a lot are also little nuggets of wisdom in a sentence or two that help me look at things in a different light or appreciate things more.
