We swam til about 5:00 p.m. this evening, headed home, and made blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs for dinner. Nothing says summer like this quintessential meal. Aunt Jemima and a dozen eggs. We eat like KINGS, I tell you!
Plus, it's amazing just how excited the kids get when I tell them we're having breakfast for dinner. Squeals, shrieks, and hoorays! If I'm ever feeling down, I should just serve this.
And it just so happened that we picked these blueberries ourselves and the eggs came from our neighbor's CSA box. Very rustic, no? Surely this makes up for the Dunkin Donuts. And pizza. And ice cream. And...
Oh well. It's summer.
