All Clear

We received some good news this week. Anna's pediatrician had felt a "click" in her right hip when he examined her right after she was born. This "click" can be a sign of hip displasia. Hip displasia tends to appear more in babies who are breech, female and first born. Anna meets all of those criteria. Throw in the suspicious click and you've got signs of a problem. Needless to say we were very worried about this.

We took Anna in for an ultra sound on Tuesday and received the results yesterday. Fortunately, the ultrasound did not show any signs of a developmental problem with her hip so we're all clear! Yeah!

Had it not been positive news, it could have meant that Anna would need to wear a harness for for awhile. It's an entirely treatable condition, but makes things much more complicated so we're very glad that we don't have to worry about it. We've been pretty blessed with such a great baby and this is just another piece of news that confirms it.
