This weekend was full of fun and lots of guests. My brother Andy came into town from Portland, Oregon, and two friends from high school visited from Austin and New York. Given how many new people Anna was going to be around, we were a little nervous, but she did great!
On Saturday, we went to Second City while Anna hung out with Daddy. Second City was fun, it was a matinee show. Then we had Chicago style pizza for dinner - Yummy Giordano's, our favorite Chicago pizza place.
On Sunday,we headed out for an architectural boat tour on the Chicago river. Anna also sat this one out because it was simply too hot for her. The boat tour was gorgeous though. I had been wanting to take it for a long time, but Mike has already been on it so I really needed some out of town guests to prompt me to go.
Saturday evening we grilled at our friends, Kate and Joe's place. All in all, it was a great weekend. It was so nice for everyone to finally meet Anna and Kate's new cutie patootie Georgia. So many of my friends are scattered across the country so it's pretty rare that we all get together. It was so nice to get some adult time with them. Not to mention how excited I get when people I love meet her for the first time. It's like show and tell but WAY better. Thank you so much to Andy, Jessica and Susan for being patient with Anna and with us. We hope you come back soon!!

Maggie, the picture of you and Anna is absolutely perfect. You look so pretty and Anna looks like she couldn't be any happier sitting with her mama!!
