After a few emails to friends and family, asking for advice on the perfect high chair, I finally purchased one this weekend. Thank you to everyone who weighed in. I decided to go with the one that attaches to the dining chair, rather than a big rolling high chair. I may regret it, but we have so little space in our condo that I couldn't resist the one that said "SPACE SAVER" on the side of the box.
To christen the new chair, we decided to break out the tiny jar of Gerber's peas and let Anna try her first real food. I'd characterize Anna's reaction as luke warm, at best. She started with a few bites of oatmeal. As always, the yummy oatmeal elicited a few smiles. Then I snuck in some peas... Anna's face froze. She got a quizzical look on her face, eyebrows tensing up, then she swallowed and looked up at us, as if to say, "let's not do that again, okay?"
So, of course, we did it again. Several more times, actually, and then finally switched back to oatmeal when she started grunting and twisting in her chair.
I guess she's not a pea lover.
