Spring Fever

We observed a randomly beautiful day on Saturday by filling the flower boxes on our porch. I say "we" and by that I mean Mike and his trusty assistant Anna. I was on standby to fetch plastic trash bags and provide water to the workers. A foreman, if you will...

I have to say the operation went extremely well. Although her plastic shovel only managed to remove a single teaspoon of dirt at a time, she did prove to be a fairly adept helper. She lost some steam after the first flower box and then wanted to just watch the cars drive by, but I think that's probably par for the course at this age.

In the end, Anna was covered in dirt (seriously, why wipe your hands on a towel when your shirt and pants are right there?), but nothing a quick bubble bath couldn't handle. And our porch now boasts gorgeous spring flowers.

Thanks, Mike and Anna!

A little to the left, no, to the right, oh... just let me do it, Da Da!

Let me show you how it's done...

Beautiful job, guys!

your "yard" looks fantastic. nice work.

good idea, too -- I'll have to let G try helping when we get around to our boxes.

It great to see her helping. She's so good at that. It's a good thing she has her gardening tools handy! Love ya, Aunt Pam
