Our Beautiful Boy

I am so excited to share these photos taken by my friend Kate. It's hard to believe she's not a professional photographer, isn't it?

Kate offered to take some practice shots of Abe and I jumped at the chance. I think they turned out great!

These are amazing! If the whole law thing doesn't work out for Kate, she definitely has a knack for photography! And Maggie - what a beautiful subject - Abe is just precious!

Well, shoot. Your blog doesn't allow anonymous comments. Because I was going to rave about this amazing photographer you've found, but only anonymously, of course.

Oh well, you know it's me. Ha ha.

Glad you liked the pictures, and Kelly and Angelique are of course correct - Abe made it easy!

P.S. I was just noticing - I think he looks a lot like Mike in that first shot. What do you think?

LOVE THEM!!! Wow. What a cutie. And Kate, I agree you have a talent here. Also, I'm curious about the camera. What do you use? I'm looking for a digital SLR. Canon, Nikon, or other?

These are beautiful. I've told Kate before that she should be compiling a portfolio. Please get on her case for me. These need to go into her portfolio!

Hey - just saw Ann's comment. Not sure if she'll be back here to check for the answer, but I have a Nikon D90.

From what I can tell and what I hear, though, both Nikon and Canon are great. I'd go with one of those. Both are fantastic, it's just that for most people, once they've picked their brand they tend to stick with it so as not to have to learn new buttons and controls and that kind of thing!

I don't know the specifics, though, if there are material differences.

Kate, you just made my day! My husband is pressuring me to get the Nikon over the Canon and I was kind of on the fence. I know all are good, but I am glad to see the camera in action. Guess it's time to shop!! thanks again--love the photos.
