Potty Training - Day 1

Today I let Anna go sans pants/underwear/diaper/pull-ups. None of it. She ran around with just a shirt on all day. I had originally thought I'd do big girl underpants, but realized that I can't always get her pants pulled down quickly when I'm nursing Abe or even just holding him. I didn't want her to have an accident just because I can't logistically get her ready to go fast enough.

Anna amazed us. She went potty about 12 times. I kinda lost count towards the end because I was trying to get dinner ready and Abe had some major meltdowns this afternoon. The girl pees constantly. Who knew? More importantly, she didn't have a single accident today. Not one.

Now I did put a pull-up on her when we went to the grocery store this morning for about an hour. I didn't even try to get her into the real potty at the store, which I would probably have done once we arrived if I didn't have Abe with me and wasn't trying to get in and out of there fast. The agony of trying to get her into the bathroom there didn't seem worth it.

This all means that tomorrow I'll likely be sopping up pee from the floor in every room in our house. BUT, I don't care. Today rocked. I'm hoping she keeps it up.
