Today we had a lovely glimpse of spring. I'm not sure what the temp was, maybe upper 30s or low 40s?, but it was bright and sunny and felt wonderful. We decided to get outside while Abe took his nap. I made a big tub of soapy water in hopes of cleaning up our front steps, they were covered in sand from a few luminaries that we put out on New Year's Eve only to see them buried with snow the next day. I'm embarrassed to say they've been rotting out there since then.
Anna begged to "clean" the steps so I quickly cleaned up the luminaries and then let her have at it. I really should remember to do this whenever we're bored. Her poor little hands were cold but she was so happy that I just let her continue for awhile. We moved around to the back porch after she started to get antsy.
Spring, please come soon. We miss you...

Maggie, did you think to tell her to pretend that she was Cinderella and you were an evil stepsister, b/c you know that would only make her love cleaning EVEN MORE!
