Top o' the Mornin'

Sometimes I look at west elm catalogs and I think we should really get one full set of coffee cups. Real adult like. White. Modern. Matching.

But then I think about actually boxing up stuff like this - my grand old opry souvenir that I picked up in Nashville with a bunch of law school girls back before we were married. We took a girls weekend away and left the guys in St. Louis. That's  when I realize I like the old stuff. West elm is gorgeous but this is the stuff that makes up our history. I'm keeping it.

Oh, I've always been a fan of non-matching, non-fancy mugs. When we got married, my mom talked me into registering for lots of things I didn't care much about, but NOT MUGS. I drew the line at mugs. : )

Now, as for much of the rest of the West Elm catalog, that I will take, yes, thank you very much.

I have a matching set but always end up using my old Missouri Jessica, I heart NYC, and "My mind is a piece of shit this morning" mugs.

My matching mugs are sitting in a box in the cupboard! Hahaha...love that Grand Ol' Opry!
