A post about nothing

Anyone in the world:  What did you do today?
Me:  Oh... not much.

I do this ALL THE TIME. I say I haven't done much because somehow I can't muster anything impressive or memorable to talk about. But -- dangit-- I have done stuff. I've done a ton of stuff. I've am doing stuff all the stuffing time.

Like today. I either did not much. Or I took Abe to the dentist at 8:00 a.m. (they welcomed me back, which is nice because I accidentally showed up there with my kids yesterday morning at 8:00 a.m.- WHOOPS!), I stopped by the grocery store, then I came home and removed all the child safety locks from our cabinets. By myself! With a power tool! Take that, kitchen safety!!

And then I made two loaves of lemon blueberry bread (one for now, one for the freezer - doy!)

And that's not even including the other stuff I do on autopilot. Like unloading the dishwasher. And making my bed. And putting pants on. And fixing breakfast for small people.

And it's now 11:21 a.m.

Or maybe I've done nothing. Because the one thing I didn't do is take a shower.

Seriously, that is an impressive amount of stuff done before noon!
I love the photo of you with power tools. : )
And you know what, I think you are right. I have a real tendency to focus on all the stuff I didn't get done, like showering, making beds, etc. than on all the stuff I did get done in a day.
Carry on, good soldier!

That's a super productive morning! And now you can add..."wrote a blog entry" to the list. And I bet lunch by now, too!

I honestly hate vague questions like that. "What's up?" or "What's going on?" are my very least favorite!

Ha. I did that the other day. I showed up for a meeting a week early. I'm with you on the showers. I'm conserving water...and shampoo.
