When we last left off, our family was headed to the HAPPIEST place on earth - Disney World.
I'm pleased to report we made it there and back safely. It was a wonderful trip and I think we accomplished just about everything we wanted to. Unlike some families, we didn't have a week or more to spend there. Truly, you could spend two weeks there and not do the same thing twice. It is amazing!
Our trip was condensed and we were dealing with small kids so that helped us narrow our activities and more clearly define our goals. No major roller coasters. Just the kid stuff. And since neither Mike nor I have this great obsession with Disney World, we weren't disappointed at not being able to tackle the adult rides. The kid stuff is lots of fun and we were happy to cater this trip to their level.

It was a late night and the temperature predicted for our first day at the parks literally dropped 10 degrees during our flight. It was a little chilly. Not Chicago - cold or anything, just chilly. And our first day was cold and rainy. I packed rain jackets for the kids and long pants, but we were still cold.
The good side of this weather, however, was that the park was far less attended. We fortuitously picked a low attendance weekend, but then the weather I think scared off the casual visitor. As a result, we hardly had ANY waits more than 30 minutes. Not a bad trade off...

The line for Rapunzel was longer than Cinderella, but we are firmly in the Cinderella camp so this was super lucky for us. Anna quickly donned her princess dress and we got in line.

But that is for another day. I am spacing out these posts because when I think about doing this all in one day, my mind freezes up and two weeks pass by and, well, we've already had that happen, right?
