Why I love Chicago...

Celebrity sightings are one of the many reasons I love Chicago. Not that I've really seen many celebrities myself, but it's cool just reading about it in the Red Eye and knowing that, say, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are here. (They're not now. But, they were awhile back.)

But yesterday I had a REAL sighting myself on Michigan Avenue. It was AWESOME.
Perhaps not everyone will know these people, but I saw Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova from the movie Once. Their song, "Falling Slowly," won Best Song at the Oscars this year.

They were just strolling down the street. The funny part was that I was headed to my doctor's office and I shared with her that I had just had a celebrity siting. Who was it? she asked, very eager to get the latest celebrity buzz. I said, well, I don't know if you've ever seen the movie Once and she said - oh yeah, I just saw those two in concert a couple of days ago. Doh!

So much for having the scoop!

Enjoy!

Update - I can't get the youtube link to work so I'll put this instead:

Good job, Maggie! I would never recognize these people on the street! I do like that song, though! They were here in NYC while I was on my trip.
