Anna and Abe made the Halloween route this year dressed as a hippopotamus and a turtle. The hippo was entirely Anna's idea, in fact she's been talking about it for awhile now and the turtle costume we inherited from a neighbor (score!)
These cuties had a great time and made it around the block with little complaint. Of course, Abe mostly rode in the wagon, but that worked out well for everyone involved. He had more fun sorting the candy in the wagon than he would have if we'd made him actually get out at each door.
We met up with some neighbors who were sporting superhero costumes and hit quite a few houses. It was such a wonderful chilly fall day. Perfect temperature for trick-or-treating.
Unfortunately, we'll have to suffer through that horrible torturous ritual of devouring all the candy before Anna realizes it's gone. But that's one of those parental sacrifices that we are accustomed to and will gladly take on. That's just the kind of parents we are.
Hope your Halloween was great!
