Visit to Santa 2010

This post should really just be entitled, "Better late than never," because I should have published this back in December.

Or maybe it should be entitled, "Santa Visit Goes Awry," because... well, see below.

With some creative photoshopping, I could just make this an Anna and Santa photo, but somehow that seems entirely too peaceful. And those few moments the kids spent with Santa were anything BUT peaceful.

Abe started freaking out the moment we walked into the little Santa room. He knew something was up. Anna hopped up onto Santa's lap with no reservation, though I think she thought this was all a bit superfluous. You see, she had run into Santa on the street in Downers Grove and told him what she wanted for Christmas. Therefore, when we started talking to her about going into Chicago to see the big tree and visit Santa she was quite dismissive. I already told him what I wanted. Fine. But did we photograph it??? No. So hop up there, kid.

We scooted out pretty quickly because Abe was beside himself and I had a hankering for the potato pancakes they were selling outside in the Chriskindl market. Yum. I think I may actually go mostly for those potato pancakes. Thankfully, he perked right back up after a bite or two. That's my boy!

I'll post more Christmas pics periodically during the next couple of weeks because I can't seem to get my arms around one big monster post.
