Mike brought home a box of chocolate-dipped cookies tonight, something he picked up today at a client's office. Anna eyed them... but she hadn't eaten her dinner.
Anna: I can't wait to try those...
Me: Well, you can't try them unless you eat a good meal first.
Anna: I know. I am going to eat a good lunch tomorrow. Then I'll try one. What are we having for lunch tomorrow?
Me: I don't know. Do you want to decide tonight what we're going to have for lunch tomorrow?
Anna: Yes!
Me: Okay, what do you want for lunch tomorrow?
Anna: I don't know. I'll decide while I'm sleeping.

Brilliant negotiating -- I like how she just entirely skipped over the idea of eating a good dinner, like yeah, that ain't happening, but let's discuss tomorrow's lunch...
Hey, maybe she gets a lot done in her sleep! You never know. And I'm just impressed that there was no crying/screaming/spitting over the waiting part. We're still working on that over here!
